Alec Jarnagin is an A Camera/Steadicam Operator and Cinematographer based in Brooklyn New York. Alec began his career over 25 years ago in Boston, MA shooting independent films, local commercials and corporate videos while learning Steadicam from his mentor, Charles Papert. In 1997, Alec decided to focus on camera operating for larger productions and moved to New York City. Alec then worked on many TV series and films as the B Camera/Steadicam Operator until he mastered the skills to transition to A Camera Operator, the position in which he worked for over 10 years. Some highlights of his operating career include Best Picture Winner CODA, a highly complex commercial with OK-GO and the action-thriller Run All Night with Liam Neeson and Ed Harris.

Throughout his career, Alec has continued to DP Additional Units for many projects including A Single Man with director Tom Ford, The Rebound starring Catherine Zeta-Jones, the indie romantic comedy, Falling for Grace, and The Bite for showrunners Robert and Michelle King. Alec periodically shot tandems on The Good Fight, during the two seasons he served as A Camera/Steadicam Operator, and ultimately transitioned to full time Director of Photography for the final two seasons of the critically acclaimed Paramount+ series.
